Invisible Forces Made Tangible - Art Meets Science
This term the after-school art classes theme is art meets science. Explore invisible forces—magnetic, gravitational, microbial, and seismic. Have fun creating magnetic wearable art, microbial batik paintings and twisting kinetic sculptural forms inspired by Len Lye’s most celebrated work Flip and Two Twisters.
Later in the term we will create particle animations of the cosmos “moving energy dots” creating handmade animations using an old-fashioned zoetrope and sculptures inspired by the gravitational pull of the moon and its influence on tides and shifting energies of our oceans.
Book in and be inspired by the exhibitions.
